About

Healthcare professionals such as doctors & nurses provide front line care and have daily contact with patients, fulfilling vital services such as inserting and changing IVs, administering medications, interacting with the patients and their families, and monitoring and maintaining patient hygiene, to name a few responsibilities. Infection prevention and control continues to be a point of concern in health care.

This program aims to equip and doctors, nurses and allied health professionals on infection control principles and practices to enable them to function effectively as healthcare professionals in their respective areas.

This course will be beneficial for infection control practitioners, emergency medical specialists & coordinators, communicable disease investigators, environmental health specialists, health care and medical staff, medics, nurses and those who are responsible for infection control, surveillance and response.

This course aims to challenge fundamentally the way health and social care professionals, supervisors and managers approach infection control and hygiene – and in doing so to dramatically improve the health and safety of their patients, clients, colleagues and the public.
